You visit the Mirror Marches when your Nightmares reach 8 and you have at least one Memory of Light. If you want to get there quickly, then you can also use one the Mahogany Framed Mirror at Ms. Plenty's House of Mirrors. However, you can't leave until your Nightmares reach 0, so it isn't ideal to do it just for the Medium.
