None of the stories have a permanent ending. Many of them do have a feel of closure and what could be considered "proper endings", but FBG might add new content to them at any time.

You may even complete a major storyline which notifies you that it's "The End", yet that doesn't bar the developers from tweaking or adding material.

If we're talking about our characters fulfilling their Neathy Destiny or whatever for a very final end to the game, Alexis recently said it'd take at least 2 more years to get the relevant content written, coded and released. It's a rather rough estimate, though. I mean, a while back (1-2 years ago?), FBG said they'd probably be finished writing all of FL's content in October of 2012 and that in no way happened. They might not be at the halfway point yet.

There are some fascinating overarching plots with mysteries which connect to numerous subplots. If we're to fully answer the major questions, it should take at least a few more years. :)
