Seconding this strategy. I also managed to get the same set-up, and it made things stupidly easy. Knight of Skin + Page of Lures work very well, because Skin can generate Preparations faster than you spend them with Lures. Almost always, you'll be able to spend Preparations for more progress.

Knight of Flames is good in pretty much any set-up, the -Tolerance is just too good to pass up. Though, with Skin + Lures I'd often progress so quickly Tolerance never became an issue.

I imagine another great combo would Knight of Skin + King of Roses. Roses is the only one that can scale with surplus Preparations. While all the Kings can benefit from Skin to come online faster, after a certain point there's no reason to get additional Preparations. With the Skin + Roses combo, continuing to gain Preparations is still helpful, which avoids the common pitfall of Skin cards becoming useless later in the round.
