As long as you have 41 BDR, this becomes easily grindable. You can repeatedly reach Notability 8 without needing to grind Making Waves, by doing 'Use your influence to invite Slowcake's Amanuensis for a visit'. You need Notability 8 rather than 7, so you still have one point to kickstart the process again. It take 15 actions to get a Favourable Circumstance.

Alternatively, you can get by with 38 BDR and only go up to 7 Notability, if you have a friend or alt account willing to send you that initial point again. This also saves an action on your end. (An alt would want 26 BDR to reliably reach 2 Notability, summon the Amanuensis, and send it.)

This whole process only has some somewhat niche use-cases. It's probably one of the best ways to reliably grind specific Favours. More reliable than Finishing School at least, and works with all factions. It's also the best way to switch professions, or grind Surprise Packages through An Unsigned Message.
