How sure are you about the correction? 2 CP with 3 accomplices and 6 tolerance would be a useful data point; 1 CP is still something, but not as much data since it could be due to the minimum.

It's definitely possible that Embalmer's Mark affects progress as well as difficulty, though usually it only affects progress on challengeless branches, so probably not.
