The descent is steep, and below you is a valley, only half visible in a rising mist that smells like chicken soup.<br><br>When you reach the valley floor, you perceive the source of the mist, a bubbling hot spring of broth. Beside the broth-spring is a man in a chef's uniform who invites you to be clothed in dumpling-dough and bob in the soup.<br><br>You lose track of time while you are a dumpling. It is much later that you emerge from one end of the valley.
