Ealing	They begin arriving within days, and then in greater numbers [...] Some turn up with only a bag of clothes, others with entire wagons. One Rubbery magnate arrives with sufficient inventory for a vast amber shop, enough to deck out the whole city.
Evenlode	Newcomers from the Evenlode arrive by night, sometimes dripping wet and accompanied by a lamp-cat. They don't speak of what they've endured. [...] But they're quiet neighbours, even if they do prefer the side of the city that faces away from the Magistracy.
Balmoral	The newcomers from Balmoral arrive with odd clothes and odder manners – not to mention suitcases full of luxuries that can only have come from Upstairs.

Burrow	The newcomers from Burrow-infra-Mump are very keen on organisation at a local level: on neighbourhood nicknames and block parties [...] There are more statues in the gardens after they arrive; more candles set in niches; more bells hung beside the doors.
Moulin
Marigold	The newcomers are mostly devils. They know how to ingratiate themselves; and they are experts on exile. They know just what to say to make a person glad he left his old home behind. Soon each Tracklayer believes themself the hero of a grand revolt.

Furnace Ancona	They arrive with work clothes and boxes of possessions. No: boxes of contraband. No one leaves those taskmasters without wanting to filch a little something for oneself.
