Header levels formatting[edit]

This is just a nitpick really, but I've noticed that the default text sizes for header levels are a bit confusing. As of now, they look basically like this:

  • Heading (h2, 1.4 em, bold with a bottom border)
  • Subheading 1 (h3, 1.25 em)
  • Subheading 2 (h4, 1.4 em)
  • Subheading 3 (h5, 1.25 em)
  • Subheading 4 (h6, 1.25 em)

Page titles are set to 2.5 em, and body text is 1.0 em, so those are the obvious bounds. I feel like the sizes should be something like:

  • H2 Heading: 1.8 em, bold, bottom border
  • H3 Subheading 1: 1.6 em
  • H4 Subheading 2: 1.4 em
  • H5 Subheading 3: 1.2 em
  • H6 Subheading 4: 1.0 em, bold

Also, while we're talking about it, I've thought before that we might consider including some extra line spacing before header levels by default, as sometimes the previous section text kind of runs up against the following header.

This bothers me so much and means I try to avoid the lower subheadings as much as possible! Does anybody know where to fix it? Aximillio (talk) 20:49, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
I'm glad I'm not the only one! Fynnkaterin (talk) 16:08, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Actually, I think I found it.
Is there any reason why we shouldn't change this? Aximillio (talk) 20:53, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
I've added this globally - please tell me if there's any issues Aximillio (talk) 20:37, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
This looks great! Fynnkaterin (talk) 22:02, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Uhh, I've noticed that on storylet pages, all options are now much bigger in my browser (Win10 Firefox). I was wondering, if this maybe had something to do with this change? If so, I'd also appreciate if someone knew a way of reverting this for me, do I have to use some custom css style or something? a2plis (talk) 12:59, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Options are probably set to use header levels — @Aximillio we could maybe bump them down to lower levels? Or set a custom class Fynnkaterin (talk) 13:45, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Probably - not sure what exactly adjusts it, though... Aximillio (talk) 13:50, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
The headers on {{options}} now uses pseudo-h5 instead of pseudo-h3, hope this solves problems Aximillio (talk) 13:00, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
