Your current active lodging determines how many cards you can have in hand. Additionally most lodgings come with their own opportunity card. These cards typically have an option to get s, an option to generate and an option that provides items or favours. Lodgings cards, save for the one you are currently occupying, can be freely removed from your deck as well, when it no longer proves useful. To get it back, however, you will need to use the key to transfer back into the premises. The Lodgings Cards (Guide) provides an overview of lodging opportunity cards.

These are the first permanent lodgings that you can receive. They are all quite cheap, and worth purchasing at least one ASAP so that you can have a 3 card hand. All of these are only available at Penstock's Land Agency.

The 5 card lodgings require having the underlying 4 card lodging and then upgrading it through either the lodging card itself, or at the end of through Penstock's Wicket. Both of these options will cost a certain amount of , and the option on the card will require Tier 2 PoSI. These are the best lodgings available.
