Success

Arrival by post

The postman brings a packet of papers, tied with string, containing correspondence and some miscellaneous accounts in your mark's hand. By candlelight, you set your hand to practising the signature. A loop here, a dash there.

Rare Success

Two arrivals by post

The first arrival is a packet of papers, tied with string, containing correspondence and some miscellaneous accounts in your mark's hand. The second is[…]from your Informant[…] they are suspected and can do no more without risking their own position.

Failure

Misunderstood

You explain that you need letters, in quantity, to any recipient. Your Informant takes this to indicate an amorous interest in your mark. They send along one of your mark's intimate garments instead, and a cheerful note.
