If I lose the first round I'm out immediately and going back to drafting accomplices. If I lose the second I'll play one more to see which of the win or the loss was the fluke. cod specifically is a terrible choice to be your only prep generator imo because she has only one the card. her big benefit is that she gets out of your way quickly. You lose EPA by pressing anything but your most profitable option since you could be doing something more profitable instead. for long term money grinding it's worth thinking about (is it worth spending actions for rubbery favors if you have no use for the thorned ribcages in jericho?) but i agree the game is much more than just an epa optimization puzzle. Basically for some people money grinding is the fun they have, for myself (and it sounds like...)

Hearts' Game was a welcome occasional distraction from the popegrind for me while getting cider since the opportunity cost is pretty much negligible)
