Welcome to Echo Bazaar Wiki![edit]

Hi, welcome to Fallen London Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Dispose of ten Trophies page.

Please leave me a message if I can help with anything!

Thanks for the welcome. New to the game but feverishly playing, and keen to contribute here.

I've made a few tiny edits to changes in reward quantities, or left a comment to that effect for someone more experienced to update it.

When it comes to adding an entirely new icon in a bullet point, like the Partial Map, do I just copy-paste it from anywhere else in the wikia?

* [1] You've gained 1 x Partial Map

That seemed to work, I hope it preserves the html 'a hrefs' as well as the formatting.

~Sincerely, Jay.

Almost correct. You need an internal link for images. For links to things on the wiki it's in general better with internal links.

So File:Mapfragmentsmall.png.

For links it's similar: Blame someone else for your sins gives Blame someone else for your sins and Blame someone else for your sins gives Blame someone else for your sins.

The former is preferred because it looks a lot less cluttered in source mode, and because we can track internal links, but external links are impossible to track, so if we change a page we can't use some special tools for finding what pages link to it.

Truncating/trimming[edit]

If you could add the "Trimmed" category to pages you truncate, that would be awesome =)
Aximillio (talk) 20:06, July 4, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, sure np. I'll go figure out how to add categories and work back through them. :]
Jay Arafim (talk) 21:59, July 4, 2014 (UTC)
In regular mode - look for the "add category" button at the bottom of the page.

In edit mode - look for the "Categories" window to the right of the page (if the window is hidden just click "Categories" to make it appear).

Holiday events and retiring[edit]

We had a discussion on this subject over at Category talk:Retired. If you have time it'd be nice if you could voice your opinion. (As well as other people's)

Thanks, posted.

Didn't mean to make it a new topic, but wasn't sure how to add to an existing topic except Editing it?
Jay Arafim (talk) 22:23, December 31, 2014 (UTC)
Editing it is usually the way to do that, but the previous header was pretty long already, so I don't mind =P

Cheers[edit]

Happy Sackmas! I hope you have a great 2018. Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for all your well written posts throughout the wiki.
FeralJim (talk) 04:30, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

Oh, thank you! Happy new year, mate.

If you're in Fallen London, feel free to give me a poke. I've hit most of my content boundaries these days, except for going to Zee, but I still check in on it now and then.
